"CR This Week" (@crthisweek) formerly known as CR Weekly News, is the flagship live newscast produced by CR News for CRTV. Broadcasted live Fridays at 10:15am, the program aims to inform students about the week's latest headlines and upcoming events so students can make the most out of their high school experience at Columbia River. 

Launched in February, 2025 as the successor to the longtime and mutli-award-winning broadcast CR Weekly News, the show was created by then executive producer Talan Collins in an effort to phase-in a new generation of leadership across CR News. Collins was joined by former Weekly News anchor Tyme Sisakvanich to co-anchor the program as the seniors in CRTV began to mentor the show's next leaders. 

Among several special extended editions of the broadcast in its early months, then CR Sports chief correspondent Conner Orr solo-anchored the show live from the stadium at John O'Rourke Field to preview the day's continuing live coverage of the 2025 John Ingram 'Twilight' Track & Field Meet. 

In May, 2025, Collins and Sisakvanich took on advisory roles, handing the reigns of production to then executive producer of CR This Morning Elijah Garon—who briefly co-anchored This Week with newly named chief anchor Niles Cowan. 

In a historic year for CRTV, This Week and one of its associated news segments were nominated for, an ultimately won, regional student production awards from the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 

Following Collins' and Sisakvanich's departure, CR News announced that senior correspondent NaSean Howard would join Cowan to co-anchor the newscast beginning in September, 2025, with Garon set to continue as executive producer.
