"CR This Morning" (@crthismorning) formerly known as CR Mornings, was the secondary weekly newscast produced by CR News that ran for nine episodes in 2025.

Launched in February, 2025 alongside the rebrand of flagship newscast CR This Week, the look and theme of the show was adapted by then CR Weekly News executive producer Talan Collins in an effort to better align the cohesiveness of CR News programming.

The show branded itself around being "the best way to start your week: with compelling storytelling, the latest updates, & need-to-know info. Featuring the latest on news, sports, & all that matters in the River community, "CR This Morning" offers students, staff, & community the opportunity to stay in touch with what's happening on campus as the school week starts."

As the successor to CR Mornings, it was anchored by its predecessor's fill-in anchors: executive producer Elijah Garon and news producer Isabel Grovom, in a 'passing of the torch' to then-sophomore leadership on-the-air. NaSean Howard also frequently served as a fill-in anchor.

Despite its relatively short run, the Monday newscast which aired at 10:30am during the Rapid Response intervention period garnered a regional nomination in the high school newscast category from the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in May, 2025.

The show was discontinued on May 5, 2025 following its last broadcast, and the transition of its team to the production of CR This Week.

Team (2025)

  • Sports Producer: Isaac Thompson

  • Associate Producer & Fill-in Anchor: NaSean Howard
