RECOGNIZING SUCCESS
Last night, a handful of River athletes and coaches attended the VPS school board meeting, which honored them for their athletic achievements during the 2023-2024 school year.

(CR Sports) - Mark Ganter and Breanne Smedley both received awards and were recognized for being VPS Coaches of the Year. Coach Ganter led the boys basketball team to their first state appearance in 5 years, while Coach Smedley led the girls volleyball team to their third straight state championship. Baseball coach Stephen Donohue and track coaches Michelle Buss and Art Sandison were also in attendance, with the district recognizing their spring state championship wins.
Athletes Revac Banfield, Jacob McManus, Ryker Loukkula, and John Reeder were recognized for their performances in River’s 2024 state track win. Noah Coakes, Nate Little, and Harrison Hoffarth were present as well, receiving recognition for their performance in the 2024 baseball state tournament and championship._____________________________________
