Cross country competes in their first race of the season leading to great results and momentum going forward.

(CR Sports) - On Friday, River cross country competed in their first invitational meet at Merriweather Golf Course with schools all around the Pacific Northwest. With over 450 runners competing, girls varsity took 10th place and boys varsity took 9th place.
Overall, Cross Country is starting off the season strong and we can expect great performance from our runners in the future! Their next meet is this upcoming Wednesday against Hudson’s Bay and Mark Morris. Good luck, runners!_____________________________________

(CR Sports) - On Friday, River cross country competed in their first invitational meet at Merriweather Golf Course with schools all around the Pacific Northwest. With over 450 runners competing, girls varsity took 10th place and boys varsity took 9th place.
For the girls, Ainsley Morrisey placed in the top 75th percentile in the 5k race with a dashing time of 21:14. Shortly after, Mae Otoupal came blazing in with a time of 21:19. This dynamic duo displayed an outstanding performance, and kept pushing each other forward despite the rigorous competition.
For the boys, Jacob McManus surpassed our league competition by a significant margin, striking 4th place with an outstanding time of 15:26. Aaron Barron Pintor also swept the competition taking 37th place with a blow-out time of 16:56. Honorable mentions to Liam Menendez and Noah Axelrod for making it in varsity as freshman.
