On Friday, the prelims tournament started and the girls swim team had an outstanding performance with the majority of the swimmers setting new personal records and 2 swimmers qualified for state. For our top performers, Ingrid Morrison Garcia competed in the 200 yard freestyle and took 6th place with an outstanding time of 2:06.89. Taylor Lucy competed in the 100 yard breaststroke and took 10th place with a dashing time of 1:15.11.

Yesterday, girls swim competed in the state tournament and took 11th place overall. For individual swimmers, Ingrid Morrison Garcia competed in the 200 yard freestyle and took 8th place with an impressive time of 2:10.51. Lucy Taylor competed in the 100 yard breaststroke and took 10th place with a phenomenal time of 1:14.84. For team swimmers, Annie Morrison Garcia, Lucy Taylor, Sam Yamashita, and Annie Morgan participated in the 200 yard medley relay and took 9th place overall.

Overall, girls swim had an exceptional season taking 11th place in state and earning the title of District Champions.
