After Saturday night's win, girls soccer is one win away from another league championship.
-------- CR Yearbook
Nevertheless, in spite of what the game was thought to be, the game was never really a close one, with River taking home the 4-1 win. They scored their first three goals within the first 14 minutes of the game, with two goals from Avah Eslinger and one from Josephine Diaz.
In the second half, there was as much goal scoring, except during the final minutes when Ivy Henderson put one in the back of the net, to ice the game for River, 4-1.
With that win, it draws River one game closer to winning the league championship. This means that when they face off against Ridgefield tomorrow in the regular season finale, if they win, they win the league title.
