(CR Sports) -Girls Swim had participants in 8 events, with 4 individuals/teams finishing well and becoming state-bound from when they participated at districts. A notable performance, in districts, by the team was in the 200 Medley Relay, where Annie Morrison Garcia, Lucy Taylor, Sadie Levy, and Ingrid Morrison Garcia finished second in the competition. This slotted them with the 9th best time going into State. Other Rapids that competed, in districts, were Ingrid Morrison Garcia in the 200 medley, Sadie Levy in the 50 medley free, and Annie Morgan, Tess Fernandez, Sam Yamashita, and Annie Morrison Garcia, as a team, in the 400 free relay. All of these swimmers qualified for state! For those who placed at state, this past weekend, Sadie Levy placed 8th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.14. The state meet was the last race for the Girls Swim this season, which was one for the memory books as it included many swimmers going to state after a strong district performance and many in-league blowouts they had against other teams. Great job, swimmers!_____________________________________
