Girls' slow-pitch caps off dominating season with a fourth-place finish in state.
-------- The Columbian
The team had many memorable games this season including a game in which they defeated Fort Vancouver 25-0. Another memorable game was when they beat R.A. Long for the district championship 11-10 in a thriller. The team also had, at two points this season, a 6 game win streak. Moreover, this year the team outscored their opponents 321-159.
What made the team so productive this season was its combination of their offense and their defense playing complementary ball. Their offense this season averaged about 3.5 more points per game than they did last season (averaging 13.375 ppg). Their defense also only let up an average of 6.625ppg, which allowed them to decimate teams and build momentum as the season progressed.
