River track sends multiple athletes to state after successful district meet where the boys took first and the girls took third.

(CR Sports) - On Friday, River headed up to Tumwater to compete in the district track meet as they looked to not only win the title, but send their athletes competing to state.
The boys edged out Tumwater to win the district title, and the girls had a strong showing as well, finishing 3rd. The team looks to carry this momentum into the State meet this weekend at Mt. Tahoma High School. Good luck, River athletes!_____________________________________
(CR Sports) - On Friday, River headed up to Tumwater to compete in the district track meet as they looked to not only win the title, but send their athletes competing to state.
Per usual, the Rapids had a dominant showing, with 16 athletes finishing top 4 in their events and qualifying for state. Revac Banfield displayed his dominance once again, taking first in the 100M, 200M, and anchoring the 4x100M relay team which also took first. Jacob McManus and John Reeder were also dual winners, with Jacob taking first in the 1600M and 3200M, and John Reeder earning first in triple jump and the 4x100M relay.
River wasn’t finished there, as many more athletes secured first in their respective events. Cici Orizotti and Eli Wenger (Pole Vault), Ainsley Morrisey (800M), and Peyton Dukes (Triple Jump).
