(CR Sports) - After going down 2-0 in the first inning, River Baseball came back to win its first state championship in 35 years. River scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning which put them in the lead after only scoring one run before that in the entire game. This state title is bigger than just the players because it is also coach Stephen Donohue’s first state championship title win in his tenure 15-year with River.

This state title is bigger than just the players because it is also coach Stephen Donohue’s first state championship title win in his tenure 15-year with River.
Overall, after losing the big game just two years ago, River’s pitching coupled with its ability to be clutch when most needed, helped it to mount a late comeback and seal the deal with a flyout. Great job, baseball!
