Track and Field finishes its season on a high note in the state meet with the boys winning their first team title in program history.

(CR Sports) - This past Thursday through yesterday, the Boys and Girls Track and Field team competed at the WIAA 2A state championship. The competition took place at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tahoma, Washington, and featured windy conditions and fierce competition comprising 193 Washington teams competing. All of this saw River tying for 1st for the boys (the first time in team history) and the girls placing 17th overall as well.
Overall, this track and field season saw tremendous triumphs across the board for Columbia River and will be a season to remember. With the conclusion of the 2024 track and field season, we congratulate our track and field athletes on their outstanding success._____________________________________
(CR Sports) - This past Thursday through yesterday, the Boys and Girls Track and Field team competed at the WIAA 2A state championship. The competition took place at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tahoma, Washington, and featured windy conditions and fierce competition comprising 193 Washington teams competing. All of this saw River tying for 1st for the boys (the first time in team history) and the girls placing 17th overall as well.
River saw a total of athletes competing at the state meet this year scoring them a total of 77 points across the three-day competition. Such great team performances could not have been achieved without outstanding efforts from athletes Ryker Loukkula, Cicily Orizotti, John Reeder, Logan Dejong, Eli Wenger, Peyton Dukes, Jacob McManus, and more who all scored points in their respective events. Also, Revac Banfield took first place in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes, securing 20 points for the team’s total.
Overall, this track and field season saw tremendous triumphs across the board for Columbia River and will be a season to remember. With the conclusion of the 2024 track and field season, we congratulate our track and field athletes on their outstanding success._____________________________________
