Boys and girls wrestling dominate districts as they prepare for regionals this weekend.

The boys team won districts by the slimmest margins, by a tally of 297.5 to win over Washougal’s 297. The Rapids also took home a pair of titles, with Tennyson Kurtz taking home first place in the 157-pound weight class, and Lutalo Quinn taking first place in the 215-pound weight class.
Over on the girls side, they finished strong and achieved second overall. The team was led by senior Jada Winfield, who won first place in the 190-pound weight class with 22 points. Many other girls achieved success as well, with several second-place finishes to help propel the team up the ranks.
