Maia Carrillo on the Girls Golf team's success so far this season and her hopes for the future.
-------- CRHS Yearbook
By Garrett Graham and Kohl Ripplinger
Thanks to quality golfing from the team, River came out victorious with a score of 200-218. Within the competition, Maia Carrillo had a notable performance finishing with a score of just 5 over par at 40. Thanks to these efforts river has improved their record and increased the likelihood of a deep postseason run.
We interviewed Carrillo and asked what she’s most excited about for the future of the season and she expressed, “I’m excited to hopefully bring more players to state [this year].” We also asked what she loves most about the golf community and she said, “I like making new friends and learning more about the game.”
Great job Girls Golf for defeating yet another opponent on the course. Speaking of opponents, their next matchup is against Washougal on Tuesday, April 23. This matchup will occur on the Tri-Mountain Golf Course grounds at 3:00 PM. Good luck Girls Golf!
