(CR News) - As the football season rolls on, so does the River Cheer program. After tryouts last May, the cheer team is ready and the “best they’ve ever been,’ says Senior Cheer Captain Emma Hoffman. Ava Barnes, a senior on the team, is excited and proud to show off what they’ve been working on this year. Especially with the new recruits, Captain Claire Courter is hoping to “bring a sense of unity between [all] teams”. This year, they’re hoping to stand out from other Cheer programs with their new routines and skill sets. Tomorrow, at the homecoming game, the entire cheer team will debut a new dance in collaboration with River’s marching band.
