ASB sophomore class council member Evelyn Pan explains the decision process

(CR News) - This past week, in light of the GLOLO Spring Dance being postponed, we at CR News would like to highlight this past spirit week, conducted by ASB. The theme was “Out of This World”, and included themes such as Black Hole and Spaced Out day.
Overall, it is truly evident that ASB is working hard to cater fun events that will bring students, staff, and the entire River community together._____________________________________
(CR News) - This past week, in light of the GLOLO Spring Dance being postponed, we at CR News would like to highlight this past spirit week, conducted by ASB. The theme was “Out of This World”, and included themes such as Black Hole and Spaced Out day.
Evelyn Pan, Sophomore class council member, states that “the way we choose these is by having a class meeting a few weeks before the week of the dance. During that time we all brainstorm ideas and anonymously vote on which ones we all like best, [and] the spirit day themes with the most votes are the ones that get picked for our final decision. Contrary to many beliefs, picking a fun and easy spirit day is very difficult. During the election process, many aspects must be taken into consideration such as how easy participation will be, cost, approval, etc. ASB tries [their] best to come up with the most inclusive themes for the spirit days that the entire student body will be able to participate in and look forward to!”
Overall, it is truly evident that ASB is working hard to cater fun events that will bring students, staff, and the entire River community together._____________________________________
