During the event, students had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge of the Cold War through posters based on historical propaganda during the time period. As part of a contest, students were then asked to vote on their favorite posters, as well as what made them effective.
Students also prepared historically accurate foods and desserts for their peers to sample, and gave toasts and rebuttals to recitations of Churchill’s speech. The reciters included Theresa Nehnevaj, Mae Otoupal, and Julia Barna, all of whom were dressed in costume.
