Administration announce new student expectations in response to misconduct

(CR News) - Starting now, the upper and lower commons are only open to students during lunch and before and after school.

Students are not to be in the commons during class time.

Students may not be in the hallways, unless they have a pass, clearly stating where they are going.

100 wing bathrooms will continue to be open and 600 wing bathrooms are open only during passing periods.

Nick Ianello, ASB President, responded to the new expectations:

“What is happening in our school is truly upsetting. I am calling upon our student body to help restore River to our values that we should all live by. We have a strong community to support our students and as an ASB class, we would like to remind the students of these values. Our values are Respect, Integrity, Value, Excellence, and Responsibility. These values should not only be used within our school but also in our community. Violence and inconsiderate behavior have no place in our school. We have an amazing group of students and staff who can make a difference if we band together. Thank you for all your hard work and let’s finish this year out strong.”
