(CR News) - OPINION: The project Bringing River Back was drafted at the beginning of this year to improve the sense of community at River. This is my third year in ASB and I constantly hear feedback about how divided our school is. ASB wants to change that.

We have drafted a monthly plan with four activities held at the most accessible times for students. We hope this makes River students realize how much they are valued. I feel like the connection from this project will show kids that not only ASB cares, but their classmates care about them as well.

Paired with fun activities, we are tackling a much larger issue here at River. The disrespect of each other and the school property is what ASB is hoping to change. We also want to stress the fact that much like these activities, we cannot be successful without each other.

Overall, ASB is super excited to see how Bringing River Back works out. We feel super grateful for this opportunity and are excited to continue to reach out to our community. Thank you to everyone who has participated, you are helping to Bring River Back.
